Ah, the Oscars. How I love them. I have been watching them live since I was about ten years old, and I always enjoy them thoroughly. Yes, even if the broadcast lasts a million hours. I simply love them. You can’t always agree with all the Academy Award nominees for Best Picture, though. In my case, I always resent that they leave a very good movie out to give its place to something starring, let’s say, Brad Pitt (don’t mistake me, I love Brad Pitt) or something directed by David O. Russell (I can’t stand David O. Russell, I think he’s too full of himself and his movies are crap – except for Three Kings, I love that one).
But putting rants aside, that introduction was simply my way of preparing you for a new set of honest posters courtesy of The Shiznit, like they do every year. They show the nominees for what some of them are really like -films that are only there because of its director or actors, or because one performance was very obviously created from its start to become an Oscar-nominated one. Please, be less obvious, people. But I am happy that they recognised one of my favourite films of the year, Mad Max: Fury Road.
Also, my favourite posters are the ones from Ex Machina, The Martian and The Big Short. Oh, who am I kidding? All the posters are hilarious.
