Like I’ve been saying for weeks, it seems as if Moffat has been collecting plenty of good ideas, hoarding them somewhere in his office, to then use them all at once for Capaldi’s final season. And what a season both of them are giving us. Continue reading

Doctor Who 10×7 Review: The Pyramid at the End of the World
Film Review: Baywatch
I love it when films don’t take themselves too seriously. It allows them to fool around, to make jokes at their own expense, and to wink at us, the audience, so that we become part of the game. And that is exactly what happens with Baywatch, the movie. Continue reading

Praise for Better Call Saul’s ‘Chicanery’

Always great episodes, always flawless, but oh boy, when a top one came along, it made the show even better. Continue reading
Doctor Who 10×4 Review: Knock Knock
One of the key aspects of Doctor Who, besides, you know, aliens and such, is mystery. But not any kind of mystery: I’m talking about that spooky plotline that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end (remember Blink?), and that is pretty much what happens on “Knock Knock.” Continue reading
