Doctor Who 11×10 Review: The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos

Time flies. It feels as if it were only yesterday when people were complaining about a woman being cast as the Doctor, and now we have already finished her first season. Has the world imploded? No. Do kids still have a role model? Hell yes. Continue reading

Doctor Who 11×09 Review: It Takes You Away

There are times, when I am watching a TV show, or a film, or even reading a book, that I am not immediately hooked, but there is a twist halfway that is so gripping I have to see it through. Is it worth it, to endure the not-so-great to get to the juicy bits? Who knows, but that was definitely my case with this penultimate episode of the season. Continue reading

Doctor Who 11×08 Review: The Witchfinders

I have mentioned here before that I love Doctor Who episodes that are set in the past. It brings historical characters we only know from books and it shapes them, makes them human, not just a name. Doctor Who 11×06 Review: Demons of the Punjab

A bit late with this review, and yet, I wanted to write it before the next episode comes in and I forget all about doing this one. This new Doctor is growing on me, but I didn’t expect to like her episodes so much. They get better and better, and my favourite part is that, well, it’s a return to the Doctor’s origins. You know, the historian type who wants you to learn about our world’s past. And succeed they do, don’t you think? Continue reading

Outlander 4×02 ‘Do No Harm’: Live Recap

As is usual in Outlander, terrible things happen in ‘Do No Harm’ and everyone is miserable, because the Frasers never have more than five minutes of happiness before someone tries to murder, rape or execute one of the characters. The 18th century is grim. But let’s go! Continue reading
