El Ministerio del Tiempo 4×07 Review: Past Imperfect

el ministerio del tiempo 4x07 preterito imperfecto salvador draws anomaly

It is always impossible to pick just one episode out of a whole series, but if I had to choose just one, I might say one from season 2 where the team meets Napoleon in a monastery. Granted, I love many other episodes (Felipe II, Lorca, Lope, Groundhog Day with Isabel I, Cervantes…) but I don’t think I ever laughed as hard as I did with the monastery. El Ministerio del Tiempo 4×05 Review: Undoing Time

el ministerio del tiempo 4x05 ministry on fire

Do not try to change the past. Every single time travel show tells you exactly that. Nothing good comes out of it and you end up making things even worse. That is the lesson Pacino learns this week, the hard way. Continue reading

El Ministerio del Tiempo 4×04 Review: The Memory of Time

el ministerio del tiempo 4x04 velazquez necesito sombrear

Old foes return! Did you think, like I did, that said foe was going to be Lola? Then, you are as mistaken as I am (for now at least), because the villain comes from the past. The paaaaaast. Continue reading

El Ministerio del Tiempo 4×01 Review: Lost in Time

el ministerio del tiempo 4x01 (2)

November 1st, 2017. That was the last time Pacino and Alonso saw each other. And that was the last time El Ministerio del Tiempo blessed our screens with its presence. It has been forever, but now it’s back, in grand style, and it doesn’t waste a minute! Continue reading

El Ministerio del Tiempo 3×08 Review: Time of Conquest

I’m not telling you anything new when I say that, after the Spanish discovery of America, plenty of natives were treated poorly and stripped of their culture and belongings. Well, this is the story of the Spaniard who did in fact respect their traditions. Continue reading

El Ministerio del Tiempo 3×07 Review: Time of Censorship

Some characters in history seem to be more prone to needing help than others, or at least more prone to meeting our team at different points in their lives, even if they don’t remember it. Continue reading

El Ministerio del Tiempo 3×06 Review: Time of Slaves

It is always hard to say goodbye to a ministry worker, even more so when we don’t know for sure if the show will be back, which makes their “it’s not a goodbye, it’s a see you later” all the more heartbreaking. Continue reading

El Ministerio del Tiempo 3×04 Review: Time of the Enlightened

What an interesting history Spain has, so full of world-wide known celebrated characters. We know painters like Goya through their works, but there is much more behind the canvas, and that is the sort of thing we get to learn with El Ministerio del Tiempo. Continue reading
